Initially I wanted to start a 30-day blog posting challenge so I could post something on my blog everyday that was meaningful, fun and engaging for others to read. Sometimes I think my ideas and reality mix like oil and water. It always sounds great in my head and on paper but reality sets in and I find myself having the strong desire to write but struggling when to do it. I do think this is true for others in just everyday life.
I have to remember my priorities in life and though a new priority is writing and posting on my blog for everyone to read and enjoy, I have to be realistic about it. I didn’t think it would be difficult to have simple topics for people to read that we’re quick, factual, and fun to learn more about me. But it’s not writing that’s difficult, it’s making the time to sit down, uninterrupted, write and take/upload pictures.
Part of writing, in general, comes from planning and pre-thought out ideas that’ll help bring my writing topics to life. I know I’m not the best writer, but I have the best intentions in mind when jotting down my ideas or creating a blog post. Plus creating my blog had given me more opportunity to grow in my writing and creativity skills- which is almost the best part.
A 30-day blog post challenge may have been “bitting off more than I can chew”, but it is something that I find fun and entertaining for my blog. And really, shouldn’t that be what it’s all about?! A hobby I find relaxing, enjoyable, but mostly, stress free!
So I post when I can. When life is calm. Or when I don’t have homework or mom duties. Or when I have just the smallest bit of time to squeeze in time for me. This is what I do, and what I’m love more and more to be able to continue to do.
