I always knew I would be a wife and a mom some day; this was my initial calling. But have you ever wanted to do something so badly, but you didn’t know how to do it or where to begin? This was and is still me. I have thought about creating a blog for a long time, but life always seemed to take control and I would always say, “I don’t have time for that” or “one day I will.” I have quickly learned that anything I truly want to do, I can make as a priority to complete. Creating my blog and writing is just an example of this. Although I currently do a lot of wiring while I continue to work on my Master’s degree, I have found that creative writing is much more relaxing and a stress relief because it is a different outlet of expression. I don’t think that I have this overly interesting life where I feel the need to share every detail, but I do have a desire to involve others in different aspects of life and most certainly a passion for inspiring others to be the best they can be. We all have experiences, we’ve all made mistakes, but taking those experiences and mistakes and making them part of a journey is what life is all about.
Martin and I have had many conversations about me finding a hobby, or something that I enjoy outside of being a wife and mom. I sure enjoy my early morning workouts, but still wanted something different. Even though having a blog is a hobby, or something to do for fun, I still think there has to be a calling for it. I’ve seen many blogs over the years, and it continued to stay in the back of my mind, even when I never expressed any word about it to anyone. This was mostly because I didn’t even know where to begin or continuously going back to the “I don’t have time for that” thought.
I think sometimes we get overwhelmed with life and we lose track of who we are, what we want, and how we are going to get there. I want to continue to write for the sole purpose of me and how I wish to share expressions, thoughts, and opinions on real life matters. For some reason, this is the calling that I have felt for a long time. I hope you all continue to follow my blog and learn from me, as I am learning from all of you!
